Ugh, I seem to have become one of those people who enjoys documentaries. Do you have any documentary recommendations for me?

I recently watched Boy I Am, and it was pretty good! Definitely thought-provoking. I actually had downloaded it over a year ago and never watched it, but I'm glad I hadn't, because waiting until I'd gotten some feminist theory under my belt helped me contextualize everything they were talking about.

ETA: I would prefer ones that are not suuuper dark and depressing, although I recognize that that sometimes comes with the territory!

Would you like a documentary about Roman bath houses?

;)

LOL.

Haha. It's these guys that recreate a Roman bath house in real life.

Is it actually interesting? I have to confess I was a little disappointed when I clicked on the link and it didn't lead me to a picture of young, tanned, buff men, bare skin glistening in the sunlight.... or something... *cough*

It's interesting in that "oh cool. This is how Romans bathed. And wow, that was really intelligent and technologically advanced for them". But, no naked hot men.

I was in a Roman bath house once - the full tepidarium, frigidarium, and hot part - though the building had been closed for 1800 years.

Those sound very interesting, thanks! I think I may have actually seen that Maya Code one already. I adore NOVA.
