Rating: PG
Summary: The man at the front desk barely spares her a second leer when she gives her fake name.

Notes/Warnings: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] emmademarais. Title from Mad Mission by Patty Griffin. Part one of Mad Mission series.
Disclaimer: I don't own this character, nor do I profit from her use here. This is only for fun.

She hasn't really done this before, but she knows--she sort of knows what to do. She's nervous, heart pounding and adrenaline rushing, and she worries for a second that she'll fall in these mile-high heels, twist her ankle and tumble to the floor and be found in her tiny little skirt and what would her mother say, Lord.

She breathes in, trying to erase her second (third, fourth) thoughts. The man at the front desk barely spares her a second leer when she gives her fake name, turning back to his magazine as she walks to the elevator.

Thanks! I'm glad it felt like Megan to you. :-)

When I read this I picture Megan early on in her career, still feeling like she has to be better than the guys, has to do it all perfect so they can't say anything against her. But she's the woman so this role falls to her. Odd dichotomy.

Good job setting the atmosphere of the hotel in just a few words. I feel kind of sleezy on her behalf. Hehehe

Very nice work, great style.

Yay for the first N100 Rewind Series! Thank you!

Yeah, I was kind of thinking of it possibly being early on in her career, too.

Thank you!
