The thing is, as much as I get annoyed at

elysium1996 for calling me a baby (uh, as in young, not as in a wuss), I kind of AM a fandom baby in some sense, and I have really never seen Buffy or Angel or any of those shows which means that up until now I've never truly understood what it is to say GODDAMN IT JOSS WHEDON OMG.

LOL. And now you will begin to understand what it is like to truly live. Buffy was one of the first shows I really watched with intensity, and Joss Whedon has totally spoiled my TV viewing experience.

Finished it. He does like the musicals, doesn't he? You should watch the Buffy musical episode, as well as the one immediately following it, Tabula Rasa. High-freaking-larious. In fact, I advocate watching it twice, at least. The first time out of context, just to enjoy it on its merits, and then as part of the series main-lining, when so much of it becomes clear.

Oh, I actually did watch that when it aired (the only episode of Buffy I've ever seen) and I thought it was pretty great, but I didn't see the one following it.

Recently

emmademarais was telling me I should really watch Buffy at some point so, hmm, maybe I will. But... Wasn't it on for seasons upon seasons? I have no time for that! Heh.

Seven only, my dear. And honestly, if you stop watching after the first five, other than the two I just recommended, I won't tell anyone! Also, Angel, which only had five seasons, is fabulous. (Puppet episode FTW) And Firefly is sheer genius.
