Harry and Draco, sitting in a tree...

So, one of my friends is in town (from across the country) and her brother lives around here, so we (we = me, my sister, my friend, her brother, and my friend's friend) went to see Freedom Writers (which I liked, btw) and while we were in the car afterwards, the subject of Harry Potter came up, and, you know, none of us can keep track of the different movies and books and what happens in which and what number movie they're on, etc. But at some point, my friend says, about the upcoming movie, "It's the one where he kisses a girl. His first kiss."

And then (the point of this post), my friend's brother says totally casually, "The girls on the slashboards will go crazy."

!!!!!!!

I couldn't SAY anything, but I kind of WANTED to, you know? (Like, maybe, "Ooh, what do you know about slash?") ;-) The thing is, my friend isn't into fandom or (as far as I know) slash, and my sister kind of likes some slash but isn't particularly into fandom so I don't know if she really knows the term, and the comment ended up just going completely unacknowledged among all the other craziness in the conversation.

But I still can't believe he SAID it. Hee!

Also, it you haven't seen these pictures, you must check them out now. I haven't gotten a chance to look at all of them (I will probably do so after I post this) but the ones I've seen are killing me.
