Today is Monday, and it is a school day, and so you may be saying to yourself, "Ah, poor Mary, Mondays are never good," but I had a GOOD DAY today! I'm in a very good mood.
My English class really seems like it's going to be fun. For one thing, the homework was to answer riddles, including this one:
We are a crystal zoo,
Wielders of fortunes,
The top of our professions.
Like hard silver nails
hammered into the dark
We make charts for mariners.
(by John Cotton)
The answer is ( a secret )
I also had written my self-introduction and ended up NOT saying anything about slash, or even fanfic in general, but I couldn't describe myself without mentioning fandom (which deserves either an, "Aww," or "Wow, that's sad," I'm not quite sure which), so I did mention at the very end that I "participate in fandom online for a couple of TV shows." We mingled for a few minutes, reading each other's introductions, and one person asked me what TV shows, but when I told her she looked pretty blank, so. *sigh* But you never know, there may be a SPN fan in the class yet.
And now, there's spaghetti and tomato sauce on the stove, and I'll be leaving to volunteer in about a half an hour, and all is well. YAY.
ETA: the only bad thing about today is that I either need glasses or to start sitting closer to the front during Bio lecture. *sigh*

Heroes 1x12: "Godsend"
Jan. 22nd, 2007 10:11 pmSo as I've mentioned before, I started watching this show during the break (yay NBC for posting the episodes online!) This was the first episode I've seen on TV. It's HARD when you can't just watch the next one after it ends. *sigh*
( HEROES! )
*is dead*
ETA: Also, today in my biology textbook I read that the average American consumes 120 pounds of sugar a year, and my first thought was, "Huh, wonder how much it is for Jared." lmao. *facepalm*
