Drabbles, this time.

They’re standing close and a bump from behind sends her falling into him. He catches her automatically and receives a shirtfull of coffee for his trouble.

"How did you know?" she asks him.
He tries to play it off, teasing her. "Know what?"
He can see that for a second she thinks she's made a mistake, and he can't help his amused smile.

He shakes her hand, professional as their boss informs her that Agent Eppes will be joining her team, and they share secret smiles as he's whisked off to be introduced to the other teammates, only to meet again in the break room alone, where he hugs her tightly next to the coffee pot.

Spending Christmas with your best friend is better than spending it alone, so Colby hauls the package of presents and cookies his mom sent him over to David's place, where he changes into his flannel pajamas and they sit on the couch watching Elf on TV.
It makes him feel like a little kid, except with more rum in the eggnog than there used to be.

Sam glanced around the empty parking lot and shook his head. He began to climb.
At the top, Dean was grinning, and it made Sam smile too, secret and conspiratorial.

The football comes flying at his face as fast and hard as Dean can throw it. Sam doesn't let himself step away, instead brings his hands up and catches it, feeling the shock of the impact run through him. He wavers on his feet but stands firm, and gears up his arm for a throw.
