From [livejournal.com profile] bubbleslayer and [livejournal.com profile] elysium1996:

If you saw me in a police car, what would you think I got arrested for? Answer, then if you want, post to your own journal and see how many crimes you get accused of?

I found a link somewhere to this site earlier and it actually kind of made me TEAR UP. Man. I have a hard time recognizing the opinions of people who disagree with me as valid, so it was really heartening to see that some people ARE able to get over themselves. (Unlike me.)

I had the day off of school today (Happy Veterans Day, y'all), and I spent the entire day lazing around reading fanfiction. It was pretty great. And then, this evening, I finally watched Numb3rs. I thought it was pretty good. I liked the ending scene.

I really liked that site. I wish more people were that way. I feel that way - it doesn't matter who's in the office, there is a LOT of work to do and one man isn't going to change the world. It's all of us... whether we voted McCain, Obama, wrote in Hilary, or didn't vote at all and put faith in America that the majority would make the right decision - time to pull together and make this a United States. On Veteran's Day especially, I remember this... thousands of soldier's have been wounded, or died, or lost friends and loved ones - fighting for that cause... fighting for ONE nation... not two halves, divided. One man doesn't make the country... 305 million people make the country. Let's start acting like it.

Thanks for sharing that my dear. That small representation of unity strengthened my hope for this country. *hugs*

Yeah, I totally agree that it's important to recognize that the President doesn't (and can't) work alone to effectively create change, but I have a hard time with the concept of, um, compromising different opinions instead of just convincing everyone I'm right. Whoops.
