You know what? I totally loved this episode.

Okay, first of all, I totally thought that one of those students at the beginning should have been like, "Wait, that's not on the chart!" when they saw the body. lmao. Man, I crack myself up. :-) Okay, now the thing I thought I'd never say:

I like Millie.

WHAT. THE. FUCK. *headdesk* The first time she was on, I hated her with a passion. The second time, I thought I would hate her and had to begrudgingly admit that she wasn't all bad. Tonight, the only thing I didn't like was her comment about Charlie working on the boat thing on "school time," which quickly segued into, "Hey, so how can I beat your dad at chess?" Other than that, I loved every single second of her screentime.

WTF.

But, I mean, dude. She called them "the Eppes ladies." THAT'S FUNNY. *laughs*

Okay, so whatever, apparently hell has frozen over and I like Millie. Aside from that, I liked the rest of the episode, too. I was only paying half-attention to the plot, but I didn't have much trouble following it, and my dad and I figured out that the skipper had turned off the... whatever, tracking device, during Megan's conversation with the boat's owner. But I was only a little bit annoyed that the FBI/Charlie didn't figure that out until towards the end.

I had a really good feeling about the show as soon as Don and Colby showed up at the beginning looking HOTTER THAN SHOULD BE LEGAL, OMG. *fans self* Jesus, those guys looked so good. Don was wearing his TIGHTER THAN TIGHT jeans during the whole episode. They were distracting. In a good way.

Also distracting was Liz. I think TPTB read the comments that some idiot somebody posted last time she was on about her looking "butch," and decided to give her a brighter lipstick. But whatever, she looked gorgeous as usual, and she made Don SMILE, which is always a beautiful thing. I think she and Don are cute together, I love how Don called her "kid," *dies* and I liked that she was unsure of things and finally was just WON OVER by Don Eppes, the lady charmer. Who the hell can resist Don? Not Charlie, certainly.

Actually, that didn't need to be struck out, because it's canon now that Charlie can't really say no to his brother. Don asks him for something, he says no, Don gets angry, leaves, and Charlie goes ahead and does it. *happy sigh* God, I had waited TOO DAMN LONG for another brotherly argument like tonight's, and I just... I think I'm still riding high from it.

Okay, so here's a question. Diane Farr said in at least one interview that when she got too pregnant to be shown out doing things, something would happen to her character that would explain why she stayed in the office all the time. Now, while I didn't really have much faith that that would be any good, I still was expecting it. Today we saw her out of the office, once, I think, and the rest of the time she stayed inside, and Don went out with Colby (GUH) and Liz.

I AM NOT COMPLAINING. But still, it almost seems like they've got her in the office, not seeing any action, without an explanation. Which is fine, I just. Was expecting one.

So, um, having written that sentence a few back, I officially want to see Don/Colby/Liz porn. Please? *dies at the mere thought* Shit. I hope I don't have to write it. :-/

OH, but speaking of threesomes? Don/NSA Guy 1/NSA Guy 2, anybody? I mean, c'mon, they're going to get "several" beers together. MM-HMM. Whatever, I'm crazy, I know.

The NSA guys actually kind of scared me/creeped me out when they first appeared. Like, if I were Charlie, I would have been scared, the way they acted at his office. I would have been examining that ID pretty damn closely.

I love Colby so much, more than David, and I really liked seeing him with Don, and Liz, and the NSA guy.

I think one of the things I loved about tonight was that Amita and Larry weren't around to solve all of the problems for Charlie. Millie gave him a few pieces of advice, but didn't really do much, and Charlie looked SMART again. Like, wait, Charlie can figure things out? Seriously? I thought that was Amita's job. Not that Charlie was perfect, because he took his sweet time figuring out one or two things, but I really thought he came off as smarter and more capable than usual. A lot more like Season One Charlie. YAY. :-)

And I liked Colby oh-so-obvious little crush on Charlie. There's at least one scene where he gets this little smile on his face as Charlie's explaining something.

OH. Okay, I was about to stop because, um, it's midnight and I'm tired, but I just remembered the last thing I wanted to mention. The part where they were talking about how Charlie could figure out which port the boat had picked up the smuggled cargo from? For a minute I seriously went, Oh! They already did a case like this! Yeah, Charlie... Oh. Wait. That was a fanfiction.

Yes. I really did that. *facepalm*

*giggles* It was a good story, though. I'll see if I can find it tomorrow.

Also, I watched David Krumholtz's movie, Looking For Kitty, earlier tonight, and I thought it was pretty good. Not my favorite movie ever, but it had some cute moments, and some touching ones. My favorite character was Rachel Dratch's. I thought she was hilarious. :-) (Plus I think Edward Burns is sexy, so. You know. Oh, and David with a NY accent is always good.)

And finally: It is motherfucking COLD here. Like, seriously, when the governor declares a state of emergency because it's so damn cold? Washington had better send us some fucking blankets and heaters, please. And [livejournal.com profile] ignipes, stop laughing at me, 33 degrees is COLD where I come from. My blood is too thin to handle this. *pouts* *shivers*

Thirty-three degrees? I would KILL for thirty-three degrees right now. We got up to a high of THREE today. Not even kidding. It hurts to go outside. (For the record, however, this is also very bizarre cold for us. Thirty-three is more normal.)

See, that almost made me feel bad for just a second, like, oh, maybe I should stop complaining?

But then I remembered where you're going to be next week while I'm stuck here in the cold. :-P

I can't even fathom living in a place where 33 was normal, although I suppose if I did, I'd have warmer coats and blankets. Hehe.
