Numb3rs drabble: Uncovered (Liz/Nikki, Colby, PG)

I didn't actually mean to write this, but these things happen. You know how it is.

"Man, I can't believe we ended up hiking over five miles to find that damn gun," Nikki groaned, sinking onto the locker room bench. She tugged tiredly at her shoelaces. "I think I got a blister."

"Yeah, yeah," Colby grumbled unsympathetically. He always got cranky when he was dehydrated. She tossed him a fresh water bottle and pulled off her sock as he cracked it open.

"Th--" he cut himself off abruptly, and when she looked up he was staring at her bare foot. At her toes. She felt her cheeks getting warm. She could see the smirk threatening to appear on his face.

"You know, you act pretty badass for someone with little pink flowers painted on her toenails," he said. The corner of his mouth turned up despite her glare.

Before she could decide on the best tactic for making him regret even waking up that morning, Liz entered the room, glowing from the afternoon's exertion but appearing otherwise unruffled.

"I guess I don't have to hit the gym tomorrow," she said. Her eyes caught on Nikki's toenails and she smiled, giving an affectionate tug to one of her curls as she walked past.

Colby's eyes went wide.

Well, I got two drabbles out of you tonight and still didn't get the one I actually did ask you for, so I'm quitting while I'm ahead and *not* pissing you off. LOL

But yes, I'd very much love that Colby/Nikki/Liz. I have a skin kink *and* a calligraphy fixation so if they wrote on her in some way? I'd be in heaven.
