I wrote this on Saturday. I'm not completely sure whether all the drabbles in this table will take place in the same 'verse or not, but I think they probably will, and (tentatively, at least) they'll be part of the Jo/Amita 'verse, before Amita comes into the picture.
Title: Now You Know
Character: Jo Harvelle
Rating: PG
Summary: She ignores the pain.
Word Count: 100
Spoilers: None.
Prompt: 17. Scratch for my
drabble123 Jo table.
Notes/Warnings: Unbetaed. Title from Every Little Bit by Patty Griffin.
Disclaimer: I don't own this character, nor do I profit from her use here. This is only for fun.
Just a scratch, just a scratch. She limps to the door of her room, resolutely ignoring the pain shooting through every step. Just a scratch.
The first-aid kit only takes a moment to find in her duffel bag. She sits on the lid of the toilet and looks warily down at her leg. Just...
Her jeans are heavy and dark with blood, ripped along with her flesh. They'll make good cut-offs in the summer, she thinks idly as she unbuttons them, carefully drawing them down over her thighs.
She hisses when she sees the gash. Just a scratch.

YES! And sometimes she just wants to scream and stamp her feet because it's NOT FAIR goddammit but she knows this is simply how her life is, so she swallows it down and just gets on with things. Because what other choice does she have?
